Pvc tube petbeds are great, because they can be left outside in all weather, they are raised off the ground for comfortable airflow, and the textilene mesh won’t harbour fleas and other undesirables. One unusual job we had recently was for an adjustable backrest for a large cruiser somewhere in Sydney. The boat owner wanted to have some cushions on the fore-deck so his wife could enjoy the space with an adjustable backrest. We designed a frame that had full adjustment as well as folding flat on the deck. The rest of the cushions lay flat on the deck. It ended up a simple design, but there was quite a lot of thought that went into it.

Beach wheelchair

One of the Resort managers, Brian, has a disabled daughter who really enjoys getting down to the beach, and he was given this to try out. Unfortunately, some of the young guests thought it was pretty good too, and left it on the beach after breaking the foot-rest. A bit tricky, but I repaired it today. I hope she can frolic in the water again soon.

Earlier this year, I had a query for a special chair for a special lady, Robin. She has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and needs support for her head while sitting. I hadn’t done it before but we created a chair for her that would be ok outside at a poolside setting. I made 5 normal chairs and 1 with the extended back that you see here…
She (and husband Mick) were thrilled, it was one of those feel-good moments.
We had another query for one today.
