Passing of an era

My mother, Lila Caldwell passed away peacefully Friday 21st May 2010, at 93 years of age. Inspirational to the end with her grace and strength, she will be missed.
Verses she liked were:
“I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an after-glow of smiles when life is done
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways
Of happy times, and laughing times,
And bright and sunny days.

Dear family and friends I have just slipped away
We may meet again amid friends and relations
Let’s look forward to the day

…Every experience God gives us, every person He puts into our lives
Is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see….”

Her funeral will be held in Kimba South Australia on Monday 31st May 2010, at 1:30pm Kimba UCA.

Cafe chairs

We sold some chairs to a customer on the Gold Coast recently. 50 chairs with chocolate seats and anodised aluminium legs delivered on 11th Feb 2010 (less than 3 weeks ago). She says the chairs are great, and exactly what she ordered, but now thinks they don’t suit her building & decor.
The warranty transfers with the chairs (12 months from 11/2/2010).
They are a good solution for someone – about $75 per chair (GST included) with almost 12 months warranty.

Mo’s end

A team of Mo bro’s (and sista’s) raised over $12,300 this year. A motley crew mainly in Adelaide, Kimba and Cowell, plus me on the Gold Coast.
The team was called “Patricia’s Hairy Lip” and we had 1 platinum member created.
Well done, guys.
Now we have a daunting new target for next year……

Movember madness on again

I am growing a moustache this year for Movember. I have decided to put down my razor for one month (November) and help raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.
What many people don’t appreciate is that close to 3,000 men die of prostate cancer each year in Australia and one in eight men will experience depression in their lifetime – many of whom don’t seek help. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved and I am hoping that you will support me.
